Account Deletion

If you have an account on HospiJunction (the patient booking app or hospital admin app) and wish to delete it, you can request deletion at any time. This page explains how.
HospiJunction is a service of Univerin Pvt Ltd (CIN: U47910AP2025PTC120207).
How to Request Account Deletion
To request that your account and associated data be deleted, please send an email to:
Email: support@hospijunction.com
In your email, please include:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Email address registered with your HospiJunction account
- Phone number registered with your HospiJunction account (helps us verify your identity)
- Role: Patient or Hospital (please specify which type of account)
- Brief reason for deletion (optional — helps us improve, but not required)
We will respond within 5 business days to confirm receipt and process your request.
If we need to verify your identity before deletion, we may contact you using the email or phone number on file.
What Will Be Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently removed:
For Patient Accounts
- Account credentials (email, password hash)
- Personal profile information (name, phone, address, age, blood group, gender, emergency contact)
- Family member profiles you have added
- Avatar / profile photo
- Push notification tokens
- In-app preferences and settings
For Hospital Accounts
- Account credentials (email, password hash)
- Hospital profile information (name, address, phone, registration number, contact details)
- Doctor profiles and schedules you have added
- Hospital photos and uploaded media
- Verification documents (subject to retention rules below)
- Push notification tokens
What Will Be Retained (and Why)
Indian law requires us to retain certain records even after account deletion. The following data will be anonymized or retained:
Financial Records — Retained for 7 Years
As required by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Income Tax Act, 1961, we are legally obligated to retain financial transaction records for 7 years. This includes:
- GST tax invoices and credit notes (with your name anonymized to "Deleted User" where the original tax record is kept for filing purposes)
- Razorpay payment records (transaction IDs, amounts, dates, status)
- Refund records
These records are kept solely for tax compliance and regulatory audit. They are not used for any other purpose.
Booking History — Anonymized
- Appointment history will be anonymized: your name and contact details will be replaced with "Deleted User", but the appointment record (date, hospital, doctor, status) will be retained as part of hospital operational records.
- Reviews you have written on hospitals will be retained but the author name will be changed to "Anonymous User".
Hospital Verification Documents — Retained Until Legally Required Period Ends
For hospital accounts, KYC and verification documents are retained per RBI's Know Your Customer (KYC) Master Direction, typically for the duration the account was active plus 8 years.
What Happens to Your Bookings
If you have upcoming appointments at the time of your deletion request:
- Your bookings will be cancelled automatically as part of the deletion process
- Refunds (where applicable per our Refund Policy) will be initiated to your original payment method
- The hospital will be notified of the cancellation
We recommend completing or cancelling any pending bookings before requesting deletion to avoid unexpected refund delays.
Reversibility
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted:
- You cannot recover your account, bookings, or family member profiles
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use HospiJunction again in the future
- Any reviews you wrote will remain visible but as "Anonymous User"
Data Subject Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or outdated data
- Request deletion of your personal data (this page covers this right)
- Withdraw consent for processing
- Grievance redressal (contact the Grievance Officer below)
